MAC has teamed up with womenswear designer Zac Posen for a makeup collection featuring his name, MAC Zac Posen. It's a classic collection, just like his trademark designs. From the packaging to the shades, the makeup and shades are exquisite.

I rarely post photos of boxes or packaging, but I was really impressed with everything about this.

I love the simplicity of the products. The bronzer and blush are my favorite (shocker) with the 6 pan shadow palette being a keeper as well. I simply love how wearable the shades are. Worn together, they leaves eyes with a soft, everyday look that can be kicked up just a bit. The mauve and gray together are always on point, and yes, classic. The surprise is the orange lipstick.

Introducing Skin Laundry.

There are some really unique skin clinics called Skin Laundry that have recently made their way from the west coast (mostly in California and Hong Kong) to the east coast. While the products were minimally packaged to match the light and airy feel of the skin clinics, the products themselves feel very luxe. The ingredients are definitely effective. With everything designed to greatly improve the look of the skin from the texture and tone to reducing the appearance of fine lines, everything works in sync together.

Starting with a weekly mask, the Rejuvenating Anti-Aging Facial Mask is a really nice treat. This mask is infused with 19 skin conditioning extracts so skin is smoothed, refreshed and restored -- it's like a facial in a mask. It takes just 15 minutes or so.

The rest of the products are to be used nightly, starting with the Restoring Night Serum after your cleansing. This serum is chock full of ingredients that smooth and brighten the skin. It contains glycolic acid to get rid of dull skin that builds up.

Next up is the Night Renew Treatment. This is definitely effective with the addition of Retinol, but it is gentle feeling because it is enriched with Shea Butter and other humectants so the skin is nourished and hydrated while using. This is so different than most retinols and I think that is why I really like it. While most retinols leave skin feeling dry, this one really helps skin retain moisture as it helps to improve fine lines and wrinkles and gives skin a more firm look and feel.

The final step is the Renewing Eye Cream. This eye cream feels so luxe as it smoothes my undereye area. It seems to help reduce puffiness almost immediately. A rich combination of peptides and antioxidants work within the formula to help reduce fine lines over time too.

One other products that I got to try which is not really a skin care product, but something I have been hearing about and one I was excited to try is a specially infused pillowcase. It's called the SleepCycle Clean Skin Pillowcase ($30). I mean, we spend so much time with our faces on our pillow, we might as well do it with special technology to help us look better, right? Well, this pillowcase is treated with charged silver ion technology to provide a natural anti-micobial effect that keeps our pillowcase cleaner so our faces are cleaner while we sleep. I picked up the Ultimate Restore Starter Trio to try out and I was super impressed. Made for thinning hair, this trio included a Shampoo, Conditioner and Mask that all work together to help reduce the breakage of thinning hair. My hair felt very nourished and looked salon fresh when using. I didn't use it long enough to tell if it repaired breakage but it is something I would buy again. 10. Alterna Haircare Bamboo Style Anti-Static Translucent Dry Conditioning Finishing Spray
I don't know about you, but my hair is full of static and flyaways all winter long and I cannot stand it! This hair spray has been my savior! Not only does it offer a nice medium hold that can be brushed out and re-styled, but it actually gets rid of static and flyaways. It does so by locking moisture into the cuticle -- so smart! L'Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation.

L'Oreal Paris has recently launched one of the first to mass cushion foundations and this is one that you need to take note of. Not only is this foundation a first of its kind for the brand, it's simply a really great foundation. L'Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation is a buildable liquid foundation, packaged in a way that it is portable, that leaves skin in such a way that it looks sheer, yet luminescent on the skin.

Can you tell that I am really impressed by this one? Well, I am. L'Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation is pretty mistake-proof from the start, like all cushion foundations are. With the packaging of the liquid embedded into the micro-aerated cushion, the formula is always fresh, allowing you to apply just the right amount of foundation you need.

It's so easy to apply by simply tapping the top of the cushion with the enclosed super soft, non-absorbent, anti-microbial puff. I tried other ways to apply, and honestly, the sponges (or specially designed puffs as they call it) that come with these cushion foundations, really are the best way to apply. After you get just a bit of the foundation onto the puff, blend it out over your skin until you have your desired coverage. If you need more coverage, tap and blend on more. Right out of the compact, the coverage is sheer -- like your skin just better -- but I use a bit more to hide some redness that I have. It does blur away imperfections and make skin look pretty flawless even without a ton of coverage. The end result is a slight glow or the look of luminescence; a real fresh look to the skin.

There are 12 True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation shades that are broken up into warm, cool and neutral undertones that will blend to match a good variety of skintones. I thinking finding your perfect match may be a little tricky, but start with your undertone then look from there.

Spring 2016: MAC Cosmetics Flamingo Park Collection.

When I first heard about the brand new MAC Cosmetics Flamingo Park Collection for spring I was immediately excited because A - I read it was pink pink and I love me some pink and B-- the theme is flamingo and I am all about the pink flamingo. I travel to South Florida quite often; it's my second home and I've been obsessed with pink flamingos for as long as I can remember. It's as if this spring color collection was made for me. Just one glance at the fun pink shades and you are drawn in and hoping that spring (if not summer) will be here soon. It is very resort-like.

The lip shades are must haves for me. From the Lipstick to Cremesheen Glass, take your pick, you simply cannot go wrong if you are into any shade of pink. These are all extremely wearable and complementary for all skin tones.

I have two of the Matte Lipsticks in Be Silly, a matte hot pink, and Have Your Cake, a matte blue-pink, almost purple shade. While these are not my typical shades, I find Be Silly a beautiful fuchsia shade that wears really well for a matte shade. I think I rather one of the lighter pink or coral shades like The Fashion Flock, Long Legged & Fabulous and Please Me, all of which I just ordered.

For the Cremesheen Glass, I just love the formula. This gloss offers just the right amount of shine that lasts longer than your average lipgloss, which one me is probably three to four hours. The formula is really creamy with a nice touch of pigment to it, depending on the color of course. I have Such Sweetness, which is a barely there baby pink that just adds a touch of pink to the lips. I like this one dotted in the center of my lips to add fullness to my put. I also have Petite Indulgence which is a really bright blue-pink. This one looks beautiful layered over Have Your Cake or on its own for a bit of a more sheer brightly colored lip.

For the face I have Pearl Blossom Beauty Powder which is a nice light pink highlighter as it has a bit of silver pearlized pigment in it. If used lightly, it looks pretty when the light catches it. I am probably most surprised by What I Fancy Powder Blush because I am loving this. It is a gorgeous sort of soft, sort of bright coral shade. It is what I would describe as the inside of a not so ripe watermelon and it looks just so pretty on my skin as long as I use a light hand. I layer it over a bit of bronzer and it is just absolutely stunning. I really cannot express that enough. I can only imagine how nice it will look over self-tanner, tanned or a darker skin tone.
